Cindy Bright been working as the Douglas SWCD conservation technician for just over 2 years. In that short time Cindy has excelled in every aspect of her work. She has reached out to many agricultural landowners in her area offering information and technical assistance regarding agricultural water quality. She has implemented workshops, many presentations, and innovative outreach materials. Her friendly and respectful approach has opened many doors for her and the Douglas SWCD.

Cindy’s knowledge is not a thin veneer. She has decades of experience working in conservation. She is constantly learning, building relationships, and integrating helpful partners into the work of improving ag water quality and fish & wildlife habitat.

In the South Umpqua SIA, Cindy has made the work look easy. Her efforts have led to many ag water quality projects being developed in partnership with a wide range of landowners.

Cindy has applied to and secured many grants in her tireless effort to fund the projects she has created with Douglas County landowners.

When ODA has had compliance cases with landowners, Cindy has been there to help the landowners come up with solutions. She provides landowners with detailed conservation plans and often seeks grant funding to help them out even more.
